Innovative social enterprise wins Hackney Award!
Winner of Best New Start Up – Mayor of Hackney Business Awards 2009
Artburst Ltd is a young, dynamic performing arts company still thriving at a time of economic pressure.
We provide creative, educational arts workshops for young people and their families. Our aim is to encourage confidence and empowerment through the arts and transform the lives of disenfranchised young people through unique ad highly stimulating activities which build confidence, skills and ability to think creatively and independently.
Regular clients include nursery schools, Sure Starts children’s centres, museums, schools, festivals and holiday schools as well as our ever growing member’s base.
Artburst continues to work with a variety of high profile clients. We have been supported by clients such as The Learning Trust, A New Direction (formerly known as Creative Partnerships), Awards for All funded by The Big Lottery Fund and The Mayor of London’s Thames Festival. Artburst has just been contracted to work in partnership with the V & A’s Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green for 4 years after the museum received four years of funding from the Big Lottery Fund to deliver a family learning program.
Our unique workshops integrate drama, art, music and movement and focus on the therapeutic application of the arts.
Artburst is evolving at a fast rate and we are working towards becoming a leading arts education provider.
