Travelbound launches Healthy Schools Residential Activity Programme at TES – Stand K4
Travelbound, the UK’s leading educational travel company, has launched a residential activity programme specifically designed to support the Healthy Schools Campaign at their schools’ centre, the Chateau du Molay in Normandy.
The programme, which takes into consideration the Healthy Schools Campaign objectives to support the link between good health, behaviour and achievement, through a whole school approach, will incorporate a wide range of sporting and team-building activities both in the heated outdoor swimming pool and 38 acres of private park land and sports fields surrounding the Chateau.
The chateau programme takes into consideration the healthy schools ethos and supports the link between good health, behaviour and achievement.
Pupils can take part in numerous outdoor activities, within the 38 acres of private parkland, including: use of the brand new multi-purpose sports court and Grade A rugby/football pitch that has recently been endorsed by rugby legend Brian Ashton and the Leeds Rhino’s head groundsman, Jason Booth.
Team building exercises, an archery range and an outdoor heated swimming pool all help to encourage pupil participation and the nutritious and varied 3-course menu will enforce the value of a healthy and active lifestyle.
Travelbound are offering visitors to TES 2009 the chance to book a Healthy Schools Residential Programme on the stand at a special 15% discounted offer.
Visitors to Stand K4 who are interested in receiving further information about Travelbound programmes also have the chance each day to win a hamper of luxury produce from the Normandy region.
Vicky Knight, managing director, Travelbound explains, “The Healthy Schools Residential Activity Programme is designed to support the values of the Healthy Schools Campaign. It offers schools an affordable, safe, active and educational programme which has been designed to give pupils an excellent base to explore the culture, language and history of this beautiful region whilst promoting a healthier way of life.”
