 Griffix returns to TES Education Show 2009
Award winning Griffix, from Pelikan, the first complete “learn to write” system launched in Germany in 2008 and the UK in 2009 this year has received ecstatic acclaim from Teachers, parents and most importantly children.
This year sees the return of griffix® being presented for the second time in the UK at the TES Education Show 2009 on 2nd and 3rd October, stand G8 – following its launch in the UK from March 2009.
Griffix® is the first comprehensive learn-to-write system in the world: a four step concept ensures that children are well prepared in the proper technique of writing.
The unique feature of griffix® writing instruments is their innovative, ergonomic grip, specially designed for children. It has been developed in accordance with the latest findings in the field of graphomotor skills, in collaboration with educational experts and the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering.
The ergonomic grip area with its perfect support for the thumb, index finger and middle finger is based on the optimum writing position, known as the pincer grip. This affords children the greatest degree of freedom of movement and allows them to write accurately and tidily without tiring. The pincer grip can only be properly developed if the writing instrument promotes the correct holding position right from the beginning.
The griffix® “learn-to-write” system consists of a wax pen, a pencil, an ink pen and a fountain pen. The design of the grip area is the same on all writing instruments so that the child does not have to adopt a new approach every time it progresses to the next stage in the learning process.
Each of the four griffix® writing instruments is accompanied by a griffix® learn-to-write exercise book to help children practise the movements of the arm, wrist and fingers that are so important in developing their writing skills.
While the unique technology and outstanding quality provide the highest degree of accuracy, the different designs, the modern coloured ink cartridges and fun buttons are attractive for both boys and girls encouraging the learning process and there are versions for both right-handed and left-handed learners.
